The “Numérisun” Project

The first photovoltaic power plant based on an innovative technology known as “concentration technology”.

 

The solar power plant developed by the Axiosun company is designed for sun-rich countries. The technology makes it possible to achieve KWh costs that are 20% to 40% lower than those associated with standard panels. The project consists of setting up the first innovative and ecological photovoltaic power plant on the Saint-Cannat wastewater treatment plant in France as well as characterising its performance in real time.

Innovative features of the project

As far as the technology is concerned, the solar power plant developed by Axiosun is the first plant to be constructed in France based on low concentration technology. Axiosun has developed cells and modules specially adapted for concentration and the project could be replicated using this advanced technology in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region of France as well as in countries that are rich in direct sunlight.

 

The digital innovations include the use of QR Code (two-dimensional bar code) on the communication documents and the broadcasting of high quality HD video in full screen on the web. The use of Flex technology for gathering information will make it possible to track the results graphically in real time on the Axiosun and Saint-Cannat Town Hall websites. What is more, ICT makes it possible to simulate setting up a smaller or larger Axiosun power plant anywhere in France and establishing comparisons with solar plants other than Axiosun’s.
